Well I have officially opened an account at lulu.com so I can self publish things. Lulu offers a wide varity of formats to publish, books, calendars, image files, music & data CDs, DVDs and so forth. It looks like a very affordable thing for people who don't expect to sell HUGE volumes of things. My plans for this is to come up with a photography book. I am considering adding words with the images although how I will plan this out...it's a big deal to consider. I have a small stack of dream journals that I kept in the mid 1980's. Some of the entries are extremly wierd and funny, but some are oddly phrophetic. I could use that with the photos, or I could put in poetry that I have written..that might be best..not sure if my dream journals could be understood by anyone but me! The other thing is to just have one page opposite the photo explaining what it is, the story behind it. That's likely the most traditional way to do it. Maybe by looking at the photo I can come up with quite a few paragraphs about it. Who knows that I can come up with. Anyway...check out my Lulu Storefront, it's currently called Atashi Publications (might change that name in future). Anyway, I'm quite excited now and have all sorts of ideas on what I might want to publish. The sky is the limit!
